North of the Blue is very much a personal, family and friends organization. We're not just an impersonal factory.
Well over 30 years ago I decided to leave university teaching and find out what the "real world" was all about. What a shock.
A new mutual fund company hired me as their computer and software guru. That led to being the person in charge of developing, implementing and maintaining investing and trading computer based technical strategies.
Many years later this led to North of the Blue, a joint venture of two successful
companies, Bobby Eye, LLC, whose principal is
Bobby I. Woolley, and Custom Computer Programming, LLC,
whose principal is
Richard J. Brenneke. Both have decades of
experience translating analysis and observation into
computer models which serve as the basis for analytical
systems. Each began their financial analysis work
in the 1970s, Mr. Woolley while working for EDS and Ross
Perot and Mr. Brenneke as a university teacher at St.
John's University in New York and
subsequently as a mutual fund manager. Both have Masters' degrees
and have done further academic studies.
I learned early on that fundamental analysis and what I later came to call "situational awareness" was where any investment decision started. If the newspaper announced this morning that stakes were being put in outlining where a new interstate highway was being graded and that was in the middle of the land you planned to buy for your new apartment building ... If basic research showed pictures of the CFO of the company you planned to make the cornerstone of your new investment was refusing to return from vacation to meet with auditors ... "Just say NO" is still a good strategy.
North of the Blue is the premier technical analysis company with the latest, most in-depth algorithms. But the charts they draw require study. We offer only precision tools and that means you need to know how they work. Here's how you learn or how you refresh yourself.
