North of the Blue ChartingNorth of the Blue Charts: Chart Panel NamesNorth of the Blue, America's Stock Analysis System, is a technical stock analysis system that helps determine the correct time to invest and, more importantly, the correct time to sell. By using our easy to understand charts and following our three simple rules we can significantly increase the possibility of being right most of the time. Using just one of our specific rules your gain could easily exceed 25%. Over the last five years we have averaged over 35% per year. We usually get rid of a stock because it isn't going up like we expected. Very rarely do we have to exit immediately because it is going down. Our largest loss was 5% and that was because we didn't follow our own rules. Five years of world-wide use and the analysis of thousands of trades support these statements. Remember, though, as our lawyers tell us "Past performance is no guarantee of future performance" but it does provide more than hints. Now you know the secret behind North of the Blue and as Paul Harvey used to say "the rest of the story". This tutorial is divided into several parts so that we can examine each panel and then define our basic buy and sell rules. As you will see, all of our charts contain three panels and a number of tools. Here are the panel names. We'll go on to the tools later.
North of the Blue's charts contain three distinct panels: the Price Analysis Panel, the Momentum Analysis Panel and the Volume Analysis Panel. As you can see, there is considerably more information on the chart, so we'll take apart the charts a panel at a time. The Price Analysis Panel contains information related to stock price movements. The Momentum Analysis Panel is built on information relating to our Price Strength as derived from our analysis of a chart's stochastics. The Volume Analysis Panel shows essential volume information and allows us draw conclusions based on buying and selling strength. Clearly, if volume exceeds our Significant Volume Line we can better interpret the strength of our High Price Strength and Upward Price Strength indicators. Insider's tips:
